Making your home
work for you

So, 2020 has been a year that none of us could see coming.

We are so used to our 9-5’s, living for the weekend and enjoying coming home at night and settling into our cosy homes, but now we have found ourselves using our dining room table as our office desk our kitchen is now a central hub for zoom calls and the most exciting part of our day is the endless amounts of parcels we have ordered online during our ‘lunch hour’.

In the space of a few days our home has went from this tranquil escape from the world to us wanting to go to Tesco’s just to escape from our home. Our’ new normal’ seems further away from anything that we are used to, and whilst it feels like this nightmare is never going to end, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Some days you may feel like you can take over the world, and other’s the piling laundry and dishes are being shoved into an empty room and having the door firmly locked. Here at #teamBlakely we are all trying to adjust to our ‘new way of life’ just like everyone else and we certainly don’t have all of the answers, however we hope our top tips can help.

Suddenly all of those ‘I’ll do it on a rainy day’ jobs are becoming more and more obvious,  the walls that you have been dreaming of painting pink for months, the bathroom tiles that have been sitting in the garage for months, the handles you have been meaning to change on your freshly painted chest – now is your chance.

Whilst this scary time has the entire world falling apart around us, this is also our chance to use this time in the best possible way, get stuck into that project that you have been putting off.

Although our doors may be closed for now with our team safely at home, we are so excited to get stuck into your projects once we are all able to come back again, so what do we suggest?
